    Description

Union Carbide Cryogenic Products UC-1 Liquid Nitrogen Container
For sale- a Union Carbide Cryogenic Products UC-1 Liquid Nitrogen Container, typically referred to as a dewar.
I’m not going to kid you, this thing looks like it has been around the block a time or two.
BUT, it has this really cool copper tubing
insert that would allow you to use it as a chiller, and although that was no doubt custom made, the dewar is NASA surplus so I assume they got it right.
Again, the dewar looks a little rough and particularly the bottom where there is a first cousin to a wine bottle cork stuck in the hole that I guess would normally be used to create a vacuum between the inner and outer walls.
So probably no vacuum and I know that affects how long it takes the LN2 to boil off.
So if you are just looking for a dewar to hold liquid nitrogen maybe this isn’t the one.
But if you want to seriously chill something maybe it is.
Untested, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered.
However, IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.
Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases.
Accepted Best Offers are strictly an as is sale, no returns allowed.
Return would be for a refund of the purchase price, not including shipping costs.
Just so that we are clear on that, this is an item that has not been thoroughly tested.
As such it may work fine or it may have problems, so any purchase entails a certain degree of risk.
If you Buy It Now your risk is limited to the shipping costs both ways.
If you submit an offer you do so knowing that you cannot return it.
