Part of a large national franchise, originally called Bob's Big Boy. Other franchise names included Frisch's. Elias Brothers Big Boy was headquartered in Warren, Mich. The company declared bankruptcy in 2000 and was sold to a new owner, which renamed the franchise Big Boy Restaurants International.
