Edlund Model 270 Two Speed Commercial Electric Can Opener 115 V Tested & Working

This is an item from a recent government surplus auction. It was apparently used by a school district cafeteria.
The Edlund Model 270 is a legendary workhorse in the food prep industry. It is recommended by Edlund for facilities that open up to 200 #10 cans a day!
The can opener is in excellent condition, with minor cosmetic blemishes from normal use. The cord and 110V plug with ground are in excellent condition.
The "no tools required" release for the cutting wheel (the manual refers to it as the "knife") works beautifully, and this makes the cutting area very easy to clean. Simply flip a lever up and slide the assembly to the left and up to remove the entire knife assembly.
The two-speed switch on the right side of the housing works, and the opener runs smoothly at low and high speeds.
The slot machine style handle is easy to operate, and it gives excellent leverage to puncture the can top.
