    Lot of 2 vintage Elias Brothers Big Boy restaurant plates
    Made by Buffalo China
    Date code indicates manufacture in the 4th quarter of 1976
    9" diameter
    Harvest gold on white
    From what I could learn online, Marriott purchased the original Big Boy chain in 1967.
    Elias Brothers was one of the larger franchise owners and purchased the restaurants from Marriott in 1987. These plates, dated 1976 were in use when Elias brothers was a franchise owner.
    Condition:
    No chips or cracks
    Minor utensil marks
    One plate what I believe to be a manufacturing flaw: a linear indentation which is under the glaze.
